Driver Training · Module 4
Incident Response for Delivery Drivers
Every driver is trained to respond to incidents calmly, report accurately, and protect both product and people in that order of priority.
Priorities in every incident
When something goes wrong, the order is always: people first, product second, paperwork third. Know this sequence cold.
- People — your safety and the safety of others is always the top priority.
- Product — secure inventory only after all parties are safe.
- Paperwork — document and report once the scene is stable.
Vehicle accident protocol
Whether it's a fender bender or a serious crash, the response sequence is the same.
- Call 911 if anyone is hurt or the vehicle is not drivable.
- Move to a safe location if possible.
- Call dispatch — they will alert the dispensary and coordinate inventory recovery.
- Exchange insurance with the other driver but do not discuss your cargo.
- Photograph everything: scene, vehicle damage, plates, and intact product compartment.
Attempted theft or robbery
BudHub drivers do not fight for inventory. Product is replaceable. You are not.
- Comply if threatened. Keep hands visible.
- Note identifying details only after the person leaves.
- Call 911 immediately, then dispatch.
- Do not pursue, do not confront, do not retaliate.
Medical emergency on route
Pull over safely, call 911, and alert dispatch. Dispatch will route a second driver to transfer the manifest so the delivery chain stays intact.
