Cannabis Delivery Compliance Checklist
Compliance is not optional in cannabis delivery. Missing a requirement can mean license suspension or revocation. Use this checklist to stay clean.
Before every delivery
Every delivery must meet these requirements before a driver leaves the facility.
- Verify customer is 21+ (government-issued photo ID)
- Confirm delivery address is residential (where required)
- Check delivery is within legal hours for your state
- Generate delivery manifest if required by state
- Ensure driver has active GPS tracking enabled
During delivery
The driver is the face of your compliance. Train them on these non-negotiables.
- Verify customer ID at the door — every time, no exceptions
- Collect proof-of-delivery (photo, signature, or both)
- Do not leave product unattended or with anyone other than the verified customer
- Record delivery timestamp and GPS coordinates
- Follow single-courier rules if your state requires them
After delivery
Your audit trail matters as much as the delivery itself.
- Store proof-of-delivery evidence for minimum 30 days
- Log delivery events in your compliance system
- Reconcile manifests with actual deliveries
- Report any incidents or discrepancies immediately
- Review driver route logs for compliance gaps
Monthly compliance review
Schedule a monthly audit to catch issues before regulators do.
- Verify all driver licenses and certifications are current
- Review age verification success rates
- Audit proof-of-delivery completion rates
- Check manifest accuracy and submission timing
- Update compliance training records
